FALCONS RISE UP

ATLANTA, GA

Respect. The 2010 Atlanta Falcons, after many honorable years in the shadows of the NFL, are finally starting to be respected as an NFL elite. For many years it seemed as though the only way the Falcons would ever get any recognition would be if someone on the team was being arrested. The Cowboys are 1 and 6 and it seems like ESPN and other sports networks give them more coverage then the Falcons, a team that was first to beat the defending Super Bowl champs the New Orlean Saints.

Now at 5-2, the Falcons have been dominating on a leauge level. The Falcons are boasting 5th in the leauge in average rushing yards per game, 6th in average passing yards per game, a plus 5 turnover ratio, and Roddy White who is currently number two in the NFL in recieving yards.

The next couple of games for the Falcons will be some of the most exciting this season. A Thursday night game against a tough Ravens team after only 4 days of rest will show the true grit of our boys. Another difficult opponet will be against Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers who is currently number 5 overall in leauge passing yards.

Whether it be the new agressive and excellent coaching style of Mike Smith, Arthur Blank always on the sidelines of every game, or Samuel L. Jackson preaching the dirty birds newest slogan, the Falcons are on the fast track to the playoffs and beyond.
